Whirlpool Duet Washer aka Freight Train

My washer has always been loud when it spins, but it now sounds like a freight train is running through my home. Is there anything we can do to save it without spending a ton of money?

Get the bearings replaced before it blows out the motor or motor drive electronics. Your tub may have a 10 year warranty if you have been using the HE detergent.

We were told that the entire back of the tub needs to be replaced, it that true?

Can you tell me what parts I would need to order? Is this something my husband (who is mechanically inclined) do? I’ll also follow up with Whirlpool on the tub warranty…I have only used HE detergents.

 OK, we got it all taken apart and we need 2 seals and bearings. Where do we get them? Looked at the parts listed on your website, and do not see them.

If you read my "sticky", I recomend getting sealed bearings at an auto parts store.

Yes, but then what about the seal? Wouldn’t beed it?

Have searched around and can’t find the seal. Might want to re-post and ask for seal order info.
