whirlpool quiet partner III shuts off mid cycle

whirlpool quiet partner III shuts off mid cycle with LIGHT cycle light blinking rapidly with 2 dashes on the screen. I can power it down and bring it back up and it will start the drain cycle then shutdown with the same light blinking and the 2 dashes. Some parts have already been replaced that went out including the ctrl panel, thermal fuse and the heating element. I am thinking its a short in the touch screen but want to be for sure since they are not cheap, is there anything else it can be
