I lost my digital display and power to the oven during a thunderstorm. The cooktop still works. I had a service man come and diagnose it and he suggested it was the control board so I ordered one. I installed it and it isn’t working still. Any suggestions?

See the attachment for the tech sheet
Take a look at the tech sheet.
You will see a fuse in the brown wire between the Power Supply board (P2-5) and the Oven Control (P7-2), perhaps this is blown.
Looks like it is part of the harness item 19 in the Control Panel Parts section of the parts.
To check it remove power from the unit and this harness and then check it with a meter.
If blown it may be a little tricky as it could be that there is a problem on the Oven Control board that blew the fuse.
Solid state parts usually blow a lot faster than fuses.
If you cannot return the new control board then I would use the new one and get a new harness.
If you can return the new control board and want to save some dollars and have some electrical experience I would do the following.
Remove power from the unit.
Remove the harness.
Solder in a 1/2 to 1 amp fast blow fuse in the brown wire making sure it cannot short to anything.
Install this harness with the old board.
Give it a try.
If it runs without blowing the fuse then just replace the harness.
If it blows the fuse replace the harness and the control board.
It is very important (fire hazard) that you use a new harness , the hard wired fuse is for diagnostics only.
