Washer spin cycle not working, only works if I manually get tub spinning first. From looking at other posts it sounds like a bad clutch. Going to order clutch kit. Do I have to remove the spanner nut to get the shaft down through the bottom of tub to access the clutch? and if so do I need a special tool?

Yes, you do have to remove the spanner nut and the inner tub. It’s better to use a special [Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LSN1000KQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.com](http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=4503397&pn_=AP3538707"]spanner wrench[/URL].
You may want to check the drive block and th brakes as well.
