(Yet another) GE Fridge problem

My GE Side by side was purchased at Best Buy in 2007. Over the past few months, the water occasionally stopped working but then came back on. I thought it was frozen so I used the trimmer-wire trick. Now the ice maker doesn’t dispense either and the fridge randomly stops working altogether until I unplug and re-plug it. Slowly, gradually, both sides are getting warmer and warmer too. What’s failing before I call out an expensive and clueless repairman and should I call GE in case there’s a recall of this model??? THANK YOU, this is driving us crazy!

Need model # to help. If the back panel has a big motherboard behind it, remove
the board and look for bad solder joints under the big power relay. Jusr re-solder with rosin flux solder.

Model is PSW26M

You have the motherboard in the back WR55X10333, just check it as I asked before.

Sorry actually it’s GSL25IFR F

Took the back off and checked the motherboard. Everything seemed visually fine but now it just clicks and the compressor won’t kick on at all. Ideas?

You most probably have a bad motherboard if it fails to send voltage to the compressor.
