Dishwasher won’t drain. It leaves water up to the heating element when the wash cycle is done. I have cleaned the filter made sure that the flap on the drain line is in place and working and now replaced the pump motor and still have water in the bottom.
Can anyone help me with the next steps of diagnosis and repair?

Disconnect it from the house plumbing.
And then run a cycle to see if it will pump into a pail.
Hold the drain line securely and put a towel over the pail to stop it from splashing all over.
Where it connects to the house plumbing is a common spot for a plug.
If it drains into the pail then you have a house plumbing problem.
Check that drain pump is running/getting power when it should.
