My Fridgidaire Model ATF6700FS1 seems to be pausing during a cycle. I have to hit start for it to complete the cycle, however, my clothes are pretty soaked when the cycle is complete. The drain hose does not looked kinked, so I’m not sure what the issue is. Do I need to call service or can I try to repair myself?

Inside the lower service panel there should be some tech notes that will tell you how to put it into a diagnostic mode and generate error codes. See what you can determine before calling a service tech. In the end you may have to replace parts on spec, but if you buy them from this site and they do not fix things you can return them.
Focus your attention on the main control board, the door lock assembly and the speed control board. Those are the weak parts of this model.
