Frigidaire front load washer won't spin dry

I have a Frigidaire front load washer (LTF2940EE0) that works fine until the final spin cycle. The water will drain but the drum won’t spin, leaving the clothes very wet. Reading through similar forum threats, it sounds like a bad door switch. I ran the tech diagnostics and got confusing results. The first time, all steps worked fine but:confused: the fault code indicated E47 which pointed me to the door switch. Since this unit had a similar problem a year or so ago that was professionally repaired, I zero’ed the fault code and reran the diagnostic to make sure the fault code wasn’t from last time. This time, step 5 that checks the door solenoid unlock didn’t work and the door wouldn’t open when it was supposed to. However, the fault code at the end indicated E00, which I am assuming means no fault found. I ran the diagnostic two more times and had the same results with a bad step 5 and fault code of E00. I’m still thinking the door switch is bad but I’m confused with the conflicting diagnostic results. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated. If it is the door switch, how difficult is it to gain access in order to test continuity? Thanks.

My washer would quit just before the spin cycle - with about 7 minutes left in the cycle, and just beep about 3 times as it turned off.

This was exactly what I needed. I bought the switch myself and not only got it cheaper than the repair man quoted, but I saved the $70 diagnostic fee plus labor. All together saved about $155. Oh yeah! Thanks!

I used the youtube link earlier in this thread, which was very helpful.

I just had the same problem with my Frigidaire washer LTF2049EEO. I see many people with the same problem and I kept seeing that it could be the door latch assembly. It didn’t make sense to me, because the washer would fill with water, would wash, rinse and drain. The only thing it would not do is spin…I checked the drain hose and nothing was stuck in it. I took off all the hoses and found no blockages. The coin catcher was clean. I removed the pump but was unable to open it. I took the chance and ordered the door latch assembly. When it arrived, I watched a video that was posted on another site that showed exactly how to remove and replace the part. It literally took one minute to remove the old door latch assembly and another minute to install the new one. And YES, it did fix the problem!!! My washer is running just fine and spins just like it is supposed to. (one hint for anyone trying to remove and check their hoses…It is very difficult to open up the spring clamps and keep them open while trying to slip the hose off if you use regular pliers… Use vice grips so that they won’t keep slipping off the tabs on the spring clamps. This will save lots of time when trying to remove the hoses)

Lid slammed shut on a piece of closing and got stuck in lock and I can not open the lid

What you gave as the model # is probably the part number for the sticker inside the lid. Model # will be something like MVWC450xww. Should be on a sticker under lid at back edge of the opening in cabinet, hard to spot sometimes.
See if you can find it, or if missing take a pic of the console and that might be enough to help you.
