I have a Frigidaire front loader that washes and drains but doesn’t spin. Most threads online indicate the door lock if an E47 code is displayed. This machine has blinking lights instead of LEDs and I can’t tell if it’s a 46 or 47 (it doesn’t cycle the way the service guide says, just displays the error once then goes into the startup sequence). The door lock light comes on and the door does lock. Could it still be the door lock mechanism or is it more likely the motor control?
Hello,
The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it please.

Apologies. That should read LTF20140ES3
The problem could be a bad door lock assembly if the control board does not see it’s closed. You have to check it for continuity. Post the results as well as a picture of the old door lock. It will help to determine what you have to order in case the old door lock is bad.

Okay. This is getting embarrassing. One more time. The correct model number is LTF2140ES3.
So even if the door lock light comes on and the door actually locks, it could still be the door lock failing? (i.e. Not sending a signal to the control board?)
Yes, it is possible.
You can perform the diagnosis as instructed in the attached tech sheet to verify the error code.

Thank you. I’ll pull the switch and test it this weekend. Where it says, "Replace control board", is that the main control panel or the motor controller?
It is the main control board.

Frigidaire has redesigned the door lock and the original can be different. If this correct then you may need the new wire harness for the door lock.

Is it possible to tell if I would need the new wiring harness from the model and serial number? I don’t mind spending $70 for the door lock but if it’s going to be $200 for the lock and wiring harness, I may just buy a new machine. I’ve already replaced the control panel once, about 8 months ago. The machine is only 6 years old but I don’t care to throw good money after bad.

So the switch tests at 2600 ohms. I’m ordering a replacement switch. The original has 3 connectors with a total of 8 wires. I believe that means I don’t need the new wiring harness. (I’ve read elsewhere that the old harness has 6 wires.)
So that was it. 5 minutes to put the new switch in. I replaced it by removing the top cover instead of removing the boot as described in the service guide. Thank you for all the help.
And thanks to appliancepartspros.com. I ordered the switch Saturday for standard delivery. They shipped it Monday and it arrived today via FedEx.
You are welcome. I’m glad it’s up and running.
