Ge washer not doing anything

I have a Ge washer wsxh208h2ww the timer was not advancing so I figured the timer was shoot . Before I got the new timer I could get the machine to fill and drain by manually by advancing the timer .then it just stopped doing that all together and I figured ok the timer is broke all the way now . The part arrived and installed and still won’t work . I mean nothing but the door lock light works . Speaking of the door lock light it was working before the timer issue and the door wouldn’t lock but the light would come on . My question is would a faulty door lock keep this model from doing anything at all. The inlet valves are good but not getting power when plugged in and set to fill would the door lock interrupt that if it was messed up. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
