GE Washer will not advance to agitate

This washer is still not fixed. It will fill, but not agitate or spin. It will pump and fill again and not agitate nor spin. It will pump water again and ends the washing. The LED just blinks non stop throughout and even when washer is still connected but not in use.

Though this Forum I have done the following: Replaced the mode shifter, replaced the motor and replaced the control board. Aslo through this Forum I performed certain fixes with the lid swtich and the water level switch wires but still the washer remains as described in the beginning of this latest posting.

Is there something I am not doing right with the error code or reseting the washer? Can someone help me with the reseting or error code correction?

Thanks

Has anyone had any luck resolving this problem yet? Interestingly, I have the EXACT same problem with my WJRE5500G0WW.

I’ve bypassed the lid switch and fuse (temporarily, of course) and it cycles correctly, filling, draining from start to finish — sans motor.

I’ve never gotten anything but ‘normal’ LED flash once per second.

Any ideas???

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Have you checked the voltage from the control board to the motor inverter?

Gene.

Joe,

You have to check voltage between the pins 3 & 5 and 3 & 6 on the C2 connector at the inverter with the lid closed and the washer On. Good luck.

Gene.

The model in these postings is WJRE5500G1WW, Ser. HR119581G that is discussed herein. I have replaced the motor, the coil, control panel, done the lid swtich switch and fuse testing, pressure switch testing to no avail but I have not given up. Just got another GE washer with mechanical timer, magnetic lid switch and motor with inverter, etc like the WJR…above. Problem with this one is the schematics was chewed up by rats and the model number was removed by a human rat who did poor diagnosis—this washer will fill and drain only–no othr function.

Help. I need to get the model number and the schematics.

The only thing which can cause exactly the same problem with two different washers is the power supply. You may want to plug the washer in the absolutely different outlet which is on the different circuit breaker.

Regarding the model number, the only we can do is by the part number of the timer (if it is printed on the timer) find the list of the models used the same timer. The part number should start with "WE" or "WH".

I had the same problem with my ge that is about 3 years old. The unit would fill and not agitate. If you turned the dial, it would spin and pump out the water.

Checked the motor - it was fine - checked the electrical wiring digram that came with the unit and found out that there is a 8 pole relay that was bad. it controlled the spin cycle and the agitate cycle when powered.

It could be possible that this may be the problem.

In an earlier posting, I failed to mention a key element. Here it is added to the earlier posting: GE washer when tasked to function, will fill then stops and no further mode. No motor hum either. Lid switched wires jumped and FUSE ON WHITE/RED LINE TESTED GOOD. What could be the problem? Need advice on this one as wife anxious. Thanks much.

Thank you for the advice on the model number. I found the owner’s manual and it had 6 models to which I believe the model is a WBXR3100 series with manual timer and hydrowave motor, etc.

I will post what I find after ordering a timer for this GE washer.
