Here is the solution to my problem with not spinning

I posted previously about my Frigidaire front loading washer and about how it would agitate and drain, but wouldn’t spin at the end of any cycle. Instead of buying a control board (almost $200), we had a repairman come look at it today. It turned out that it was the door lock/switch, part # 131763245 that was wrong with my machine. He replaced it and it works like new. The switch was around $50 and it, together with his fee, is much less than what we were going to spend on a control board.

i have the same problem but for the life of me cant figure out how to get the back or top off my machine–mine is a whirlpool roper.

Dryer heating to around 170 - 180 F. Changed Cycling Thermostat and Thermal Fuse. Is it just the high limit Thermostat that needs changing?

Could not find a wiring diagram for this unit but perhaps won’t need it.
Also not sure where you are measuring the temp.

The high limit should not come into play if all is OK with the dryer, it is a safety device.
Sounds more like you have an air flow problem or if the lower temp settings do not work, the Heater, thermostat Item 11 in the "Motor and fan assembly" section may be burned out.

Not sure what this heater should measure would think about 5,000 ohms.

You are actually sucking the air through the system so poor drum seals etc. will effect temperatures. Also dirty lint filter especially if you use fabric softener, it can coat the screen greatly reducing air flow. If coated it has to be cleaned with soap and water.

Check the vent system.
Undo the dryer from the exhaust
Run a load
If the load dries correctly then you have a vent problem.
Clean/check the vent system. Make sure the outside louvers open fully.

If you do not want lint in the house.
Take a pair of pantyhose, put one leg into the other and attach this to the dryer exhaust.
Leave enough room behind the dryer so it can blow out like a windsock.
Run a load.

Both the above will allow you to check the air flow and temp.
Also the above is NOT recommended for a gas dryer due to possible carbon monoxide problems.

The control touchpads do not respond when pressed. When I press the start button on the front, the dishwasher starts on the last cycle that I selected before the controls stopped working and the indicator light next to that setting lights up. HELP!

Here is an operators manual
http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%206920186.pdf

And here is a tech sheet
https://www.servicematters.com/docs/wiring/Schematic%20-%20W10128608.pdf

First try to unlock the keypad Page 10 of Operators Manual

Next try removing power from the units for half an hour or so to see if it will reset.

Next try to run the diagnostics on the tech sheet

Next RIBBON CABLE CLEANING
Unplug the unit
Open it up
Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board.
Clean the edge connector.
If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive.
Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here.
Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates.
Reconnect everything and give it a try.

Next check the keypad switches with a meter, see the tech sheet
Also check the wires going from the control to under the unit.
There has been a lot of problems with rinse aid leaking and causing all sorts of problems.

On that dryer it tends not to have a great venting system. The lint builds up in the blower assembly. You have to remove the front, and then remove the blower assembly, which is held in by Four 5/16th screws. 2 on each side. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com

Dishwasher making loud noise about 3 to 5 times per complete wash cycle.
It works fine just is very loud for what are about a 1 to 2 min period. I am guessing a pump since it happens for just several short periods during the
complete cycle.

Thanks
