I hope someone can help me with my dryer. I had a flood in my basement and water went in to my gas dryer. After the flood i never tried to start the dryer until last week. It has been stopped for maybe 2 months. I had a tech that came by and looked at it while I was away and my wife sure dont understand anything about machines except to use them. The Tech said it was the motor that was bad and we needed to get a new motor for it. Today I tryed to start it and I keept holding the START button and the ignitor turns orange and than stops. I got to start the burning a couple of times but i did not hear the motor turning. The reason im asking for help is because my wife did not feel comfortable with this tech answers. I know maybe i need to call for a better tech but at the same time im hoping for someone to maybe help me on giving me the possibilities on what it is. All help is appreciated…thank all very much

Most likely the motor is bad and along with it may be something els.
Please provide the model number of the dryer.
