Kenmore washer won't start

I have a kenmore washer that seems dead when you pull the timer switch. I have checked the outlet to the machine there is power there. I thought that it might be the inlet valves, however when you turn the switch to the spin cycle it dosn’t come on either. Is there anything else that I should check or should i go for a new timer switch? Thanks

I would check that a wire has not come loose.
If ambitious you could check the timer contacts with a meter using the timer chart.
You could also open the timer up to see if there is any obvious damage.
