I have a Maytag washer I purchased for a second home. It wasn’t used a lot since we were there only on the weekend(s). It stopped spinning. After doing some searching, it was "suggested" to replace the Thrust Bearing Kit (12002213). I did that and also replaced the belt with ease. My problem is that it still won’t spin. The pulley(s), shaft, belt rotate, water pump and agitation work as expected / described. The tub shakes as if it is spinning but it doesn’t actually spin. It won’t move by hand or as part of the operation. I saw somewhere it could be the brake…can you suggest how to break it free?:eek:
