From your answer to my question, I believe it is the cycling thermostat that prevents the knob on my almost 10 year old dryer from advancing.
Four thermostats are listed on the website with one being in canada??, and I’m not sure which of the other three is correct. Two of them are high limit thermostats with the same part number and the other seems to be a regular thermostat. Which thermostat is best and where on the dryer is it installed—plus how difficult is it to do??? thank you!!
For this problem you want to replace the cycling thermostat, which is located on the blower cover. Can guarantee that will fix things as there could be wiring issues, but it is likely this will fix things.
Just take off the front of the dryer and there it is.
Here is the part.
Good luck, hope this works.
