Maytag washer does not fill or run

Washer will not not run, I have power to the timer and and to the lid switch, according to the schematic it looks like the power has to go through this switch in order to give power to the water valve. Does this mean the lid switch is bad?

Just replace the lid switch AP4008646.

Does it fill?

Take off the control panel cover and you will find a "block fuse" ie a round glass fuse. It should be a 1 amp 250 volt fuse. Remove the fuse and if you have an electrical meter check the fuse for continuity. If there’s no continuity then replace the fuse … a 25 cent item.
Of course you must have the washer power unplugged before removing the fuse.
Another way of testing the water solinoids is to turn the dial to fill the machine (power on) then check for power at the water fill solinoids. If there’s power and the machine is not filling then the solinoids need replacing; if there’s no power then the fuse needs replacing.
