I have an admiral top load washer that leaks a lot of water from the bottom somewhere and it is very loud when it goes through the spin cycle. is it worth it to fix it or should we get a new one?
I suspect that the centen seal has failed, and that water has leaked into the transmission and that is causing your problems.
Take off the front panel by inserting a screw driver in the gap between the front and the top near the edges, which will release the clips holding the front on. You should now be able to determine the source of the leak, but if it is from the center you may want to consider replacing the washer rather than undergoing an expensive repair.
Here is a tech bulletin on your model.
