Oven turned on to preheat w/temp selected to 350. Temp reached 320 when user noticed lower heating element glowing bright red in a 1 inch section…remainder of element looked normal.
Oven ceased working with no fault codes on display panel.
Is element failure likely cause? Is this a simple user repair, such as pull out old element and plug in new, or is it more difficult than that?

Yes
Unplug the unit.
Undo the screw/screws holding the element to the back of the unit.
Gently pull the element into the oven. Gently because you do not want to pull the wires off the element.
Remove the wires from the element and replace it.
It is a good idea to clip something onto the wires until you get the new elemt connected. This prevents the wires from disappearing into the back of the unit.
