My washer stopped agitating or spinning today. It would fill and drain and seemed to go through the cycle other than those important steps. I was checking it out and got it on a spin cycle and i started turning the agitator and all of a sudden it started working. Seems to be fine now but I am worried of what would have caused that. Any ideas and should I be worried to use it?
Sounds like a lid switch problem.

I don’t believe that was it because I have bypassed the lid switch. I can run through a whole cycle with the lid open. The motor didn’t kick in til I started manually turning the agitator.
